What's up everybody and welcome to Technicians Tuesday
0:03
This is a special Tuesday because we have done a ton of work on the venture this week
0:08
For those of you that are new here, this is a 1999, 34-foot venture that has been getting a rewire and a repowered with twin 300 verados
0:17
We do a lot of DIY outboard service videos along with repowers, rewires, and restoration videos
0:23
So you're going to want to get subscribe to the channel and get that bell on so you won't miss out on all the action
0:30
This 34 venture named Desperato was a fishing machine in its day, and we are giving her a new life with all kinds of updates and new stuff
0:59
Here in the back we started by cleaning up all the wiring. and then take
1:33
say, and drive away from me
2:00
added a brand new chirp transducer to feed the new Garmin 94 SV GPS
2:10
We've removed a bunch of the old wiring that was becoming super problematic and have ran
2:14
new wires for all of the lights, speakers, and power for the electric reels
2:22
Ran all of the rigging for the engines and cleaned up the power going to the engines, getting
2:25
rid of the power posts and putting new posts in where they would stay dry
2:29
Up here in the front of the boat we changed out all of the old lamp wiring that was used for the speakers in the nav light
2:43
and ran new 14 gauge wiring to supply proper power for the new speakers that will be going in up here
2:59
You know, Front lockers like this are always a real treat to get into in order to get all of the wiringMP strapped up nice and neatly
3:28
We put all new hatches. latches in and new gas shocks on all the compartments so you don't have to worry about losing
3:34
a finger when getting into a locker in heavy seas. Previously we shared some of the building of the upstairs in another technician's Tuesday video
3:45
during a project update. But up here we ran all new wires for the anchor light and the spreader
3:50
light, hoses for the new steering helm that goes with the new Mercury Verado power steering system
3:56
Added a Sirius XM antenna for some satellite radio and then put in the start-stop buttons and the kill switch lanyard for the engines
4:26
You know, With everything done up top, we've got a Garmin GPS unit hooked up to the NEMA-2000 network
5:16
two chrome cup holders, a tilt steering helm, and then we've got two Mercury Smart Crafts
5:22
tachomometers with chrome bezels, the digital throttle and control box, and a brand new compass
5:29
Everything's laid out nice and smoothly and we put these gauges on slanted bezzles so that way you
5:33
could even see them through the steering wheel as you're driving up here
5:38
With the second station all put together, it's time to start in on the center console
5:42
Now this was a huge mess down here, but we started out by cleaning up all the dirt on the walls
5:48
and then filling all the holes that were left behind from all the old stuff that were left behind from all the old stuff that we took out. After filling the holes we cleaned up all of the plumbing
5:57
that runs the two live well pumps, the fresh and saltwater washdown pumps, and the plumbing
6:01
that goes to the toilet We also installed all new through holes and shutoff valves to make operating and working on the plumbing system super easy One thing that is definitely not in short supply down here are mosquitoes Certain parts of the year we have to start the day out by smoking them out before we can even get to work
6:35
It's a lot of I'm going to Go to It's a rock
6:59
God can't make move for us God have been able for us
7:07
It's without me, it's love me God will make for us I'm going to move for us
7:17
I'm going to be able for us and more about me
7:28
I'm got to make home for us more than me Which brings us to the most important part
7:49
You know, the part that you always see, you know, the part that you always see
8:05
It's time to put the dash together. With all the og gauges gone and never coming back
8:10
we cover up all the holes and begin installing all of the new components
8:15
This dash is getting a new Garmin GPS, Mercury Smartcraft SC-1000 gauges
8:21
a fusion radio, standard Horizon VHF radio, and a Simrad autopilot. I'm not
8:37
a lot of the uh, uh, uh, uh, bork. Uh, uh, uh, and uh, uh, uh
8:50
And so, you know, and we're not going to be. I And so much No no no You know
