0:00
So we are actually in the middle of another project, but as you can see from this right here
0:06
This is how that project is going as of right now. We have drill bits. We have tap outs
0:12
We have a bunch of broken drill bits And we have a bunch of tools that we are looking for that we cannot find when we don't have this and we don't have
0:20
That to do what i'm trying to do and so we are going to stop doing this project
0:25
Even though we're trying to get to the rideline project and instead we're going to tackle another problem
0:32
Where I need a very important tool to complete this job So we need to go to the store and get that tool and here is kind of a little teaser
0:42
Let's see here In here Here we go
0:52
This right here is part of the problem and one of the tools that i'm missing
0:56
So we are going to go to harbor freight and get some tools that we need
1:01
Two very important tools that you don't think you need until you need them
1:06
I feel like we've been doing a lot of skill building lately and talking about skills and stuff like that
1:11
And this is another point to that of having the right tool to do the job
1:16
um, there's nothing like trying to use the wrong tool to do something and
1:21
Making the job one way worse or two just completely messing everything up
1:28
So That wasn't too bad so we got out of there for under 200 bucks I bought some other stuff, um
1:53
Extension cords whatnot, but the two main things that we got We got a bench grinder with the grinding wheel and then we got a wire wheel
2:01
We're going to need to use that for cleaning all kinds of stuff and we got a belt sander. So
2:06
those are two Really really important tools that you need like for getting our chisels
2:12
We need to get the tips straightened out on those chisels and we're going to need that bench grinder
2:18
In order to do that we're going to use the grinding wheel to go ahead and get a sharp point back on the
2:25
ends of the chisels and then we will also be able to get a
2:32
Sharp point back on the end of the picks I also ran to home depot got a couple shelf things in order to put a shelf
2:38
I'm gonna put a shelf right there by the door going out I probably should have got another piece of wood or something to kind of block off the other area for like shavings and stuff to
2:48
Fly off, but that'll be all right. So now let's head back to
2:52
The casita we're going to put the shelf up and then be able to install both the
2:57
bench grinder and the belt sander all right there on the same little shelf in the same little area to
3:03
Allow us to sharpen our picks and get back to the project that we were on
3:08
As well as put up another shelf to get all that stuff off of the countertop that we got
3:12
so that way we can actually have a working space again because right now everything is so cluttered and
3:18
nobody likes to work in clutter it makes you very You know, it spends a lot of time because you're not organized. You're not really ready to
3:24
You know take on the next job So I do want to get all that stuff cleaned up and adding that shelf is going to help us do that
3:32
All right, well we went ahead and got two more bolts drilled out But now we need to clean this in that bottom one was such a disaster
3:39
I want to just clean all this stuff up so we can put these two items up
3:44
We ended up going through 20 drill bits to get that one this one broken
3:51
extractor ended up being 20 drill bits. They're all you know, 160
3:57
They're all tiny but nonetheless it was a disaster So I really just want to clean all this stuff up and get everything like put back together
4:07
So that way like we can you know work as normal. So I want to clean this corner out
4:13
I need to get all all this like a lot wires and stuff out of here. I'm going to put a
4:19
little little surge protector on here Out of here i'm going to put a little
4:26
little surge protector there That's what I bought this thing for That way I got this on off button and I could just click click right here for these lights to come on and off
4:37
So i'm going to get rid of all that nonsense and then we're going to put a shelf here for our
4:41
sander and our grinder to go on and Then we will also I want to put a shelf right here. So that way
4:50
I mean i'm my shelf right here is just full of stuff. So it'll be nice to be able to put
4:55
Acetone wire glide all that kind of stuff up on this shelf. That's you know lower and easier to get to
5:09
There we go, this is Much better. So now i've got the shelf up here. I got my level there that I can quickly grab
5:17
Got all that kind of straight now this is always a miscellaneous box that you know, not too sure about but I got all my
5:24
resin and fiberglass stuff up there all the buckets gloves some cleaning supplies and some of the less used stuff like the torch
5:31
And the wire glide some acetone You know things that I don't use as much and then things on this shelf are things that I use a lot more degreaser
5:41
contact cleaner kroll silicone atf Grease, you know that kind of stuff like that as well as
5:48
The vacuum but I think i'm gonna move the vacuum over here Once we get the shelf made I got the belt sander put together just because we wanted to see
5:56
How deep this thing is as well as pulled the bench grinder out of the box
6:01
so that way we can kind of see you know, how tall it is mainly because you want like
6:07
Say i'm working with something if I got this like this, I gotta lift my arm up
6:11
So it's kind of like i'd rather actually kind of want to mount this a little bit lower
6:16
That way, you know when you're holding something that you're working on. It's kind of like your arms down a little bit. So
6:23
This thing is I don't know about 11 inches or so. So 11 inches there
6:29
So if I put as of right now this thing is Pretty tall so if I do
6:37
I don't know 41 41 is probably a pretty good height to have the top of that. So that would mean I want the table to be 30
6:45
but 41 That's going to put this thing pretty low Which I don't think I want it to be that low. This thing's only
6:54
eight inches tall so you know i'm already going to be bent down for that like
7:01
So how tall is this table So this table is 334 and a half and a quarter. So why don't I make the thing
7:12
33 i'll make the table 33 inches and that should be Pretty good that'll bring this down two inches
7:19
but I kind of gotta have a pretty good medium between the die grinder the table bench grinder and the
7:27
That thing this thing here so 33 is what she gonna be and we need to go all the way over here because
7:35
Obviously, this is a walkway to get to that door and we don't want this to be sticking out too much because this
7:42
thing right here with the table sticking out I mean we're looking at 14 inches and it can be all the way against the wall either because
7:51
I'm gonna need like Two inches there. So this thing's almost 16 inches. It's sticking out
7:58
Maybe 15 ish So if I push this thing all the way against the wall
8:04
We're looking at 15 inches sticking out. So when I push it back
8:09
15 inches is all the way out to here. So that doesn't leave too much walking space
8:13
So that's gonna have to go right here in this area but i'm gonna need to put something because I don't want to dirty up this table all the time because
8:21
This is a nice clean white table that I can use to Take pictures and do all kinds of stuff. That's needs to be clean and white and bright
8:30
Obviously with the gopro it doesn't the brightness is a little much but
8:35
so 33 inches across here is what we're going to be doing and
8:40
Let me find the studs. I already got one marked right here. So here's one stud
8:44
So i'll find the stud here and then I will come over. I think this building has 24 inch
8:51
Studs in it. So i'll probably be 24 inch over opposed to 16 on center, but I will figure that out as we go
8:59
So And the wire wheel is just
9:19
So crucial to have In the shop. It's one of those things you just can't do without. Okay. I'm starting to feel a lot better about this situation
9:27
This is all looking fresh over here. I like it This is what i'm working on right now. So no need to put all that stuff away
9:35
Probably need to throw this stuff away all those broken drill bits from the other video that
9:40
I don't know if that video is out yet or not. But either way over here. This situation is looking outstanding
9:47
i've got the Bell sander ready to rock. I got the grinder ready to rock. So
9:54
this is Really good This is loose though, I don't know I guess I have to tighten that I mean that came just stupid loose
10:08
Look at this Harbor freight, baby Wow
10:29
Well It looks like this is not going to work that warrior cheapy cheap that's going to have to
10:36
I guess take that back and get the other one already rocked all the paint off of that
10:42
Splendid and then this is stupid loose But I went ahead and made sure the distance from the wall this little bit
10:49
I can actually get in here and take these screws off still so that was one of the main things
10:54
but I do like having the Vacuum right here this I could pull out and use when I need and plenty of space to walk through there. So
11:03
nice little shelf that gives me two super important tools, but um
11:09
Uh, the cheapy cheap is the cheapy cheap. Uh, so I need to take this off and tighten look at that
11:17
So i'm going to take that off and tighten that and then i've got to take this one off and I guess replace this with a different one because
11:24
This six inch wheel does not fit this Grinder, I guess it it has to be that three quarter. I tried to put some spacers in there
11:31
It didn't work. But anyway, either way got an extra stone here
11:36
And um, yeah, i'll tighten that up and that'll be that vacuum right here. So that way I can
11:41
vacuum around this situation, so Two very important tools. I will actually just snap my fingers and fix this. Ta-da
11:50
There you go, we're all looking fresh to death over here I got the
11:54
Stone got the wire wheel so I can clean stuff Impeller plates and other tools stuff like that. Also, we have got all of our picks and everything sharpened up
12:05
So now I can go and finish trying to get those bolts out of the power head
12:12
Already broke one pick but just sharpen it up. Either way Those are two extremely important tools that I know I need and you probably need them, too
