The Importance of Sunscreen!

Why Sunscreen is So Important!

Is Sunscreen Really that Important?

Well, ultimately that depends on you! If you have ever seen someone that had to have part of their nose removed. Or had the tops of their ears chopped off, not to mention those that have had serious surgery in order to put their face back together, you may say, YES! So the decision is really up to you! And whether or not you want to have your face puzzle pieced together!

So, The Question is: How Much Sunscreen is Enough?

I would have to say the possibilities are endless! The more the better! That is something I believe that gets glossed over. That is the part on all sunscreen bottles that say: “Apply Liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure!” Then also, Reapply, at least every 2 hours!

We’ve all seen the crab colored people walking around. The next day their shedding like a snake! They always say, “But I put sunscreen on!” When? Well, in the morning! And…… Yeah, that was it, just once in the morning! The classic case of a ruined vacation. One day of fun, and burnt in pain for the duration. Sadface 🙁

The More the Better!

Don’t be embarrassed. Take a hint from the white nose guy at the beach. You know, the one that paints his nose white with sunscreen. Like, that’s the only place he applies it! Carelessly, without shame. He wears the white nose with pride! Apply your sunscreen as liberal as him, just spread it out a little more. Don’t worry about rubbing it in where you can’t see it.

If you miss a couple clumps, it’s all good. You won’t be missing skin later in your life!

What Sunscreen Is the Best?

The answerless question! There are so many brands out there, how could you say one is the best? Banana Boat, Neutrogena, Hawaiin Tropic, Store Brand, Sun Bum, Bull Frog, Coppertone, Blue Lizard, No-Ad, Australian Gold, and the list goes on, and on, and on….. Who CARES? Honestly! The point isn’t really to be brand loyal, but to make sure you have some!

We like Sun Bum, but Sun Bum really stains your clothes. (What sunscreen doesn’t though?) So, make sure you apply, reapply, reapply again, and then a few more applications. That should get you safely through your day in the sun!
